The "Annali del Friuli", written by "Francesco di Manzano", in the last century, report that in the XII century the Republic of Venice already bought the noble wines of Friuli Venezia Giulia.This fame, synonymous of quality, prestige and tradition, is particulary present in the wines of the area D.O.C., of "The Colli Orientali del Friuli", province of Udine. In this small strip of hilly, marly-calcarcous territory, of 60 km of lenght, not more than 15 km large, the excellent position of the vines and the climate's good influence do permit the convalidation of many varieties of vines. The wines of the "Colli Orientali del Friuli" have a strong personality, acquired in history of wine's culture and reached thanks to hard work and wine-growers' tenacity.
